How does an actor “become” someone else?

This question has been at the core of the acting craft for millennia. The Actor’s Center of Asheville welcomes professional working actor, Matt Burke. Bringing his invaluable (all ages!) actor’s workshop, Transform, to The Actor’s Center of Asheville. This workshop will give students distinctions in movement and vocal practices that grant access to the foundations of crafting a character from head to toe. Get ready to move, breathe, speak, make sounds, and have fun in new ways that will provide each player these essential practices to take home with them!

Please Note: Workshop attendees should bring in some material they’ve worked previously and are comfortable with to play with. Please dress comfortably, and be prepared for some fun!

This six hour workshop will begin at 10am THIS COMING WEEKEND (Nov.19th/20th). Students will break for lunch at 1pm, & conclude from 2pm-5pm. We ask that you please sign up in advance to secure your spot.
